The students of our school came together to organize the Intra-MUN 2018, held on the 26th and 27th of April with two committees- the Security Council:Special Summon of the Secretary General, and the General Assembly: Disarmament and International Security.

One distinct feature of this Intra-MUN was the presence of our alumni, whose experience and wisdom made the committees reach their respective pinnacle of sophistication.

The Security Council's agenda was, "The Global Threat due to the Proliferation of Chemical Weapons by State and Non-State Actors, with Special Emphasis on the Salisbury poisoning and events at Douma", while the General Assembly discussed "Countering International Terrorist Networks Across the World". Both the committees dealt with subjects that were not only important, but of great consequence in geopolitics.

The Security Council monitored closely the actions of the real world Security Council which was running in tandem, and laid special emphasis on the Salisbury poisoning, which almost turned the committee into a fiery battleground between Russia, with its allies and the NATO powers, which reflected the depth of their research more than mere verbosity.

While the Executive Board kept bombarding them with updates, the delegates received it with aplomb, and delivered with confidence. Eventually, the United States emerged as the best delegation.

The General Assembly, on the other hand tested the patience and skill of their delegates, with proper and detailed discussion on each of the extremist organizations, looking into the nook and cranny of their foundation.

Their updates were ground-breaking, with one particular update proclaiming the untimely demise of the Head of State of a nation present in committee.

The delegation of Libya emerged as the Best Delegation.

The culmination was fruitful for all: a heightened interest in world politics and greater responsibility and sense of belonging, not only to our respective, fragmented nations, but to the world at large.
