Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture, dedicated to the ideals of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, is a socio-cultural organization registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961.
The Institute started from a campus in Regent Park, in the southern suburbs of Kolkata, offered to the Mother by Smt Lakshmi Devi Loyalka. The Mother wrote, "We shall call it Lakshmi’s House and it will be the home of Grace".
The Institute is now a reputed cultural, social and educational institution in Kolkata.
In the last few years, the institute has set up a Senior Living project near Baruipur, in 24 Parganas (South).
Of late, Sri Aurobindo Ashram Trust, Pondicherry, has entrusted the Institute with the responsibility of developing Sri Aurobindo Nilaya, Santiniketan.
