Summer Activities - 2017 for Classes 1 to 8 was an interesting mix of academics and fun filled activities that gave an opportunity to students to hone their skills and abilities.

English Language workshop aimed at sharpening the four competencies in English language by exposing students to a multifarious learning environment that eventually tested their skills through Inter- Class Creative Writing, Recitation and Story Reading competitions;
Rhymes and Rhythm presented the Salient languages in a fun way;
Math-magic introduced simple tricks and tips to recognise patterns and similarities and solve problems easily;
Crazy Science exposed students to the wonders of Science;
Sound of Music provided an environment to students to explore various musical instruments and appreciate the sounds;
Puppet making helped in the flow of creativity and telling stories through the characters;
Indoor Nature Activity aimed at developing an inquisitive mind to investigate, hypothesize and appreciate the natural world.
Cool Cuisine gave an opportunity to students to explore their culinary skills through non fire cooking and also generated awareness on nutritive value, simple, healthy recipes to beat the summer heat;
The activities on Film Review and Story Telling and Illustrations were wonderful ways of expressions and communication;
The bouquet of Physical Activities that were represented by Eurythmics, Yoga, Martial Art presented excellent opportunities to nurture a healthy body and mind through discipline, order and vigour.
Debating Delights:
Members of Debating Class assembled to match their wits for three consecutive days, (10th, 11th and 12th of May, 2017) of their summer classes. Yellow House emerged the victor in this sparkling enterprise with Naman Madhur of Class VIII A, Ayush Narayan Ghosh and Srestha Ghosh of Class VII B being adjudged Best Speaker of the event.
SUMMER ACTIVITY- QUIZZING:
On 10/5/17 the members met in the Geography Laboratory. There was a general introduction and orientation. This was followed by an individual written quiz on current affairs.On 11/5/17, the first part of Inter House Quiz was held in the Promesse Hall. The four rounds were on sports, literature, science and environment and films.
On 12/5/17, the final segment of the Inter House Quiz was held in the Promesse Hall. The rounds were on history, politics, geography and art, music, dance and theatre. Green House emerged in the top position after eight very closely fought rounds.
Recycling:
A summer activity was held for the students of The Earth Lovers Club on 18.5.17 and 19.5.17 in school between 8.30 am and 10 am.Students made various items from discarded products at home.Mrs.Debjani Biswas,Mrs Barnali Dutta and Mrs.Madhumita Dutta were there to help out the students and provide them further inputs regarding recycling of products. Students participated in the activity with great enthusiasm and made different utility products from scrap.Some of the products made by the students deserve special mention and thus would be given certificates to further encourage their efforts .
