As we assembled in school on 24th night, all kinds of thoughts crossed our minds about our upcoming journey.
Around 10:30 we reached Sealdah by bus. Next morning we were at NJP station too thrilled and excited about the fun we would have together with our friends and the students accompanying us from Lycee Fracais de Pondicherry.
That day we were introduced to our instructors from Indian Himalayan Center for Adventure and Eco Tourism (IHCAF) and got accoustomed to the rules and regulations of the institute.
We had a tight schedule throughout the week wherein we experienced physical training, got ourselves involved in adventure sports such as rock climbing, commando bridge, rappelling and a 12-km long trek.
As a part of our project, we visited the Temi Tea Garden and factory where they manufacture tea using completely organic methods.
The institute provided us with excellent hostel facilities, healthy food and a proportionate amount of excercise to digest it.
The whole trip gave us the much needed exposure and a splendid opportunity to develop on our personalities and physique. We made new friends and created some everlasting memories with them . We will always cherish the memories the trip gave us and it would always occupy a special place in our hearts.
