A 'Jugalbandi' of Rabindra Sangeet with Kathakali Dance.

Ideas and Impressions Club organised a Workshop of Kathakali Dance with Rabindra Sangeet by two solo artist on Saturday, June 17, 2017 from 10.00 am to 11.30 am.

The Resource Persons were Mr. Saikat Sekhareswar Ray, an award winning Rabindra Sangeet singer and Mr. Kaushik Chakraborty, an eminent Kathakali dancer.

They were accompanied by Mr. Subrata Karmakar on tabla and our student Joyous Poddar on the keyboard.

Mr. Ray and Mr. Chakraborty interacted with the students, sharing valuable information on Tagore and his intense passion for Kathakali, evidently an inspiration in many of his dance-drama.

It was a mesmerising span of time for the audience - noting valuable information and watching the duo performing.
