As in every year , on 14th July , the students studying French in our school along with their French teachers celebrated “Le quatorze juillet“, the French National Day.
Beautiful posters were also put up on the notice boards which were made by the students.
A special assembly was held in the morning to commemorate the day. It began with a very informative presentation by the students of Class 9 who told us about the significance of Bastille Day, the series of historical events associated with it and how it is celebrated in France.
After the presentation, there was a wonderful poem by the students of class 3 studying French, based on "Amitié“ (Friendship), symbolizing brotherhood and friendship between France and India.
Finally it was a skit by the students of class 5, who mesmerized us with their acting and dialogues on the theme of “Liberty, Equality and Fraternity“, the three qualities that France always liked to embrace.
At the end of the program, the French National Anthem was played and the students along with teachers and staff present in the hall paid tribute to the fellow citizens of France.
