Sri Aurobindo's Birthday and India's independence day was celebrated through a day long programme at Sri Aurobindo Nilaya, Santiniketan.

Flag Hoisting, Collective meditation and reading from Savitri was held in the morning.

A Dance recital by Ritayanti Chowdhury and a musical programme of patriotic songs presented by Sreemoyeer Gaanbhasi led by Shrimati Banani Chattopadhyaywere held in the evening

Shri Sambit Sinha delivered the welcome address and the Vote of Thanks.
